Clint’s experience in the construction industry dates back to his childhood when he helped his father build custom homes. After college, he spent several years in the Tool and Die industry. Ultimately, Clint returned to his first love – construction – spending 15 years, prior to founding CCS in 2011, working for 2 local mid-size commercial general contracting companies in the Kansas City area. Clint has built warehouses, offices, fast-food restaurants, white table cloth specialty restaurants, medical facilities and numerous other retail concepts from conception to finish.

Chris has 20+ years in all aspects of the construction industry. Chris started in the construction industry in the late 90’s as a carpenter, working his way up to superintendent and ultimately a project manager handling projects ranging from white boxes and offices to ground up restaurants and strip malls. Since 2016 Chris has specialized in D-B and highly custom projects, as well as high level preliminary budgets and scoping. Chris is responsible for managing the construction operations of the company from pre-construction through project completion. Chris prides himself in taking a pragmatic, realistic approach to all problems and being able to look at each situation as unique and handle it objectively. As part of the leadership team, Chris assists with strategic direction and business development. Chris, along with Chad and Clint, has been a driving force in the continued growth and forward thinking of CCS.

Nick Gardner
Contracts Administrator
Nick has 15+ years in the construction industry starting as a laborer and working his way up through various trades and ultimately into the office. Over the years, Nick has developed a high level of understanding of contractual language, driving the continuous development of both prime contracts and subcontracts for CCS. Nick brings a unique perspective to this position having worked both in the field and at high levels in the office.

Chad Spoor
Director of Marketing and Finance
Chad has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Certificate in Integrated Investment Management from Kansas State University. As the director of Marketing and Finance, Chad oversees the financial operations of the company and leads the team in developing and maintaining business relationships. Chad has played a key role in the business development and growth of CCS. Chad is an active part of the community, currently sitting on the Shawnee Chamber Board and is a founding member of FLEX Shawnee. Along with Clint and Chris, Chad assists with the strategic direction of the company.

Jason Hewitt
Project Manager
Jason has been in the construction industry for 20+ years. Prior to that he served in the United States Air Force for 8 years. Jason began his career in residential construction, managing the construction of over 2,000 multi-family buildings and single-family homes. He is proficient at finding solutions to problems and assisting clients in value engineering. Since joining CCS, Jason has managed project types including office, retail, and restaurants, both locally and nationally. Jason prides himself on his ability to manage and motivate teams to work at a fast pace with high attention to detail.

Elizabeth studied construction engineering, fabrication and design prior to joining CCS. She fulfills a crucial role in the construction process, working closely with clients, architects, and vendors to craft detailed proposals. She is responsible for preparing both conceptual budgets and hard bids for CCS’ clients. Elizabeth’s attention to detail and strong relationships with key subcontractors ensures that we obtain the best possible pricing for our clients. Elizabeth served in the Army National Guard for 8 years.

Chet has worked in the construction industry for 40+ years on a variety of project types including restaurants, offices, condominiums, and historic renovation. This diverse range of projects gives him a full range of experience and knowledge. Chet takes pride in his attention to detail and emphasizes communication. These qualities have allowed him to build lasting relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout the nation and in the Kansas City area. Prior to entering the construction industry Chet served in the United States Air Force.

Project Manager
With 20+ years of experience in both the general contractor and owner’s representative roles, Staci has proven successful in the management of projects from conceptual planning and feasibility through design, construction, and closeout. Her finance experience ensures optimum budget compliance. Staci is skilled at selecting contract partners, problem solving, and working cooperatively with clients to create a teamwork environment that focuses on delivering safe and successful projects. Her experience inludes projects for national retailers, theatres, restaurants, and corporate interiors. Staci is currently the President of the Advisory Board for the Johnson County Community College Construction Management Program and is a past president of the Construction Specifications Institute Kansas City Chapter.
Elizabeth DeRossett
Project Manager/Safety Officer
Elizabeth has successfully managed multi-family, senior living, retail, medical, office, and restaurant projects ranging from $80K to $35M. Her 15+ years as a superintendent and project manager provides great depth of understanding and attention to detail on projects of all sizes. Elizabeth has designed and developed specifications for commercial properties that did not meet current building codes and ADA standards. She also developed and implemented safety, health, emergency response, and hazardous communication programs for previous companies and CCS. Elizabeth’s unique combination of technical and analytical skills creates positive results on all projects she touches.
